Jane Phipps was involved in research into the needs of defendants in county court debt proceedings in the 1970s and 80s leading to her PhD in 1989. She has worked as a specialist debt adviser for L. B. of Lambeth, Oxford CAB, and Citizens Advice. She has written and delivered money advice training for IMA, CPAG, Shelter, Age Concern, NASMA and Citizens Advice. She has chaired the County Court Advisers Group and was briefly a member of the Civil Justice Council. Jane has written for Quarterly Account and Adviser. She has been a member of the MAA and IMA since the 1990s. She is now retired.
Douglas Silverstone has worked in the not-for-profit sector for over a decade, helping organisations of all sizes to identify how to get the most from technology and the data at their disposal. He is currently the Head of Data for Thames Valley Housing, an Organization with more than 15,000 homes. His role is establishing a framework as a foundation for a data-driven future, with a focus on providing good governance. Douglas also created and chairs a community orchard project and writes a regular money saving blog.
