We’re recruiting an Operations Manager

Do you have the management skills to help the IMA deliver support services to the free money advice sector?

We’re looking for an Operations Manager who can lead and manage people to ensure the successful delivery of a range of critical business activities.

You will directly manage the development and delivery of our training programme and manage others in the organisation responsible for membership, marketing, accreditation and other IMA services.

You will have proven ability to lead, motivate and effectively manage others; the ability to organise and manage high-profile national events; with strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to develop and manage good relationships with stakeholders.

  • Location: the post holder will initially work from home during the pandemic, with an expectation of some  working at our Leeds Office thereafter. To be discussed further at interview.
  • Salary: £35,000 – £37,273
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
  • Closing date: Midnight, Sunday 13 September 2020

Freelance Trainers

Do you have the knowledge and skills to help a small national charity deliver face-to-face and/or online training to the money advice sector?

The Institute of Money Advisers (IMA) has over 1700 members working for Citizens Advice, local authorities, housing associations and a range of other independent advice agencies.  We provide advisers with training, information and other resources to help them give high-quality advice to members of the public experiencing debt problems. We also offer a professional qualification in partnership with Staffordshire University, the Certificate in Money Advice Practice.

The IMA provides a range of open-programme, in-house and bespoke training to members and non-members, including specialist and accredited courses.

We are looking to increase our complement of experienced self-employed, freelance trainers who deliver and/or write our training courses. Successful candidates will be motivated and enthusiastic with substantial proven ability and expertise in the current law and practice relating to money advice and experience of delivering face-to-face and/or online training to individuals with a range of learning needs and styles.
