The Certificate in Money Advice Practice (CertMAP) is the only debt advice qualification specifically for free-to-client debt advisers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Awarded by Staffordshire University in partnership with the IMA, CertMAP is a university level, distance learning course which covers all the main aspects of a debt caseworker’s role.
CertMAP forms part of the IMA accreditation scheme and is also accredited to casework/specialist level under the Money and Pensions Service Individual Quality Framework. Organisations receiving MaPS funding, or who work to quality standards that include the same requirements, can use CertMAP to demonstrate that their debt advisers and supervisors have undertaken the necessary technical training.
Why study CertMAP?
Studying CertMAP benefits both advisers, their organisations and clients. For more detail on the benefits of studying CertMAP: why study?
