Bankruptcy in Practice
Delivered in partnership with Payplan, this half day course is aimed at caseworker and specialist level advisers.
Aim
This course will explain Insolvency legislation giving examples of what happens in practice, covering:
- Income Payment Orders – how surplus income is treated
- how assets like cars and homes are treated
- Pensions, Shares and Inheritances
- Bankruptcy Restriction Orders including obtaining new credit prior to the bankruptcy, gambling, fraudulent credit, goods sold at an undervalue
- benefit overpayments
- debts from abroad
- self employed clients
This course will help the adviser to make sure they have a fuller understanding of bankruptcy and help the client to make a more informed choice.
