What is the Certificate in Money Advice Practice?
The Certificate in Money Advice Practice (CertMAP) is the only qualification accredited by the Money Advice Service at caseworker/specialist level. It is a comprehensive qualification covering the main aspects of a caseworker’s job and is delivered by the IMA in partnership with Staffordshire University.
Advisers who pass CertMAP gain individual IMA accreditation and are allowed to use either of the following after their names to signify their professional expertise:
MIMA (Cert) – for accredited Members of the IMA; or
AIMA (Cert) – for accredited Affiliates of the IMA.
Flexible distance learning: study when it suits you
CertMAP is delivered entirely through Staffordshire University’s online learning environment. You can study any time of day and anywhere with an internet connection, meaning CertMAP fits around you and your commitments.
